CFX / FiveM
Verify a member's CFX.re (FiveM / RedM) account inside a ticket with the CFX Authentication step.
CFX / FiveM Authentication Step
The CFX Authentication step verifies that a member really owns the CFX.re forum account they claim — the same account used to log into FiveM and RedM.

This step type is a premium feature. You do not have to register anything at CFX.re — TicketWave handles the whole exchange.
Who Should Use This
CFX authentication is built for FiveM and RedM communities:
- Roleplay servers that need to match a ticket to an in-game identity
- Script and resource sellers who need to check a licence against a CFX account
- Communities that ban by CFX ID and need the ID before staff can act
What Gets Stored
| Field | Example | Description |
|---|---|---|
cfx_id | 1234567 | The permanent user ID of the CFX.re forum account |
cfx_username | PlayerOne | The forum username at the time of verification |
The answer appears in the ticket summary as:
> CFX Verification: `PlayerOne` (`1234567`)How the Member Experiences It
The step appears in the ticket with a Login button carrying the FiveM logo.
Clicking it opens the official CFX.re authorization page, which asks to grant TicketWave access to the session info of the account.
After confirming, the member is sent back and sees the "Account Successfully Linked" page.
The ticket in Discord updates itself and continues with the next step.

CFX.re only shares the session info scope with TicketWave — the account name, ID and avatar. No forum posts, no email, no password.
Configure the Step
Open the Ticket Steps module
Server dashboard → Settings → Ticket Steps → Configure.
Create the step
Click Add Step and fill in:
| Field | Suggestion |
|---|---|
| Step Title | Verify your FiveM account |
| Step Description | Please connect your CFX.re account so we can find your character. |
| Step Type | CFX Authentication |
| Required Step | Enabled |
Restrict it to the right tickets (optional)
If only your in-game support needs the CFX ID, set Limit to Category to your gameplay category. Members opening a "Partnership" ticket will not be asked to sign in.
Category and subcategory restrictions are premium features. See Ticket Categories.
Test it
Open a ticket yourself and walk through the login once. If everything is set up, the ticket summary shows your CFX name and ID.
Troubleshooting
| Problem | Cause | Fix |
|---|---|---|
| The step does not appear | Premium is not active, or the step is above your step limit | Check the Premium page and the step order |
| "Token invalid or expired" | The 10 minute window is over | Click 🔁 Renew Token in the ticket, then Login again |
| The member is not logged in at CFX.re | No active forum session | The member has to sign in at forum.cfx.re first, then retry |
| Nothing happens after the login | The ticket was closed in the meantime | Open a new ticket and repeat the step |
